After spending most of my career in the corporate world, I transitioned to becoming a tourism resort owner in 2010. For a decade, I operated a charming cottage and fishing resort on the Trent River. During this time, I had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people, and I’m grateful to say that many of them have remained dear friends.
When I decided to retire from the business, I moved to Mexico, where I bought a piece of land and built a house, much of it during the challenging COVID period. However, after a few years, I realized how much I missed my family—my daughter, her wonderful husband, and my five grandchildren—so I made the decision to return home to Canada.
While I have traveled extensively throughout my adult life, I began traveling solo about ten years ago. Recently, a friend remarked, “I love these adventures you go on. How do you know to do this? I wouldn’t even know where to begin.” This comment sparked something inside me. Inspired by the idea of sharing my travel experiences with others, I embarked on a new journey to become a Travel Advisor.
My diverse experiences—from running a resort and building a home in a foreign country and then returning home, to traveling solo — have given me a unique perspective on the joys and challenges of travel. Every adventure, every destination I have been to has left an indelible mark on my soul. I see the world through different eyes. I see the people around me from a different perspective. I am calmer. I am more content. It is because of this that I understand the importance of creating meaningful, personalized experiences, and I have a deep appreciation for the connections and memories that travel can foster. I am excited to share my knowledge and love for travel with you, and to help you embark on your own unforgettable adventures
